The group of Plant Nutrition is part of the Institute of Agricultural Sciences and is performing research and education relevant to Plant Nutrition, Nutrient Dynamics in Soils and Nutrient Cycling in agro-ecosystems. Our major experience is on nutrients and the techniques used to study pools, fluxes and actors involved in their cycling, with emphasis on phosphorus and isotope techniques. We work under controlled laboratory and greenhouse conditions and in the field of temperate and tropical climates. Our work supports the development of integrated nutrient management that involves a variety of nutrient sources for crops and promotes microbial functions for an efficient nutrient use.
