2022 - Jolanda Reuss was awarded in September 2022 the ETH medal for her outstanding doctoral thesis entitled “Identifying the chemical nature of soil organic phosphorus with increasing molecular weight”
2022 - The paper: "Organized Home gardens Contribute to Micronutrient Intakes and Dietary Diversity of Rural Households in Sri Lanka" authored by J Thamilini, C Wekumbura, AJ Mohotti, AP Kumara, ST Kudagammana, KDRR Silva and E Frossard, published in 2019 in Frontiers in sustainable food systems, 3, 94 doi: 10.3389/fsufs.2019.00094, received “The Nutrition Society of Sri Lanka Research Award 2022" for the best research publication in (human) nutrition or related field during the period 2019-2021.
2022 - SVIAL awards 2022 for the best BSc thesis in agricultural sciences (C. Tanner).
2022 - Vontobel price for an outstanding PhD in agricultural sciences (Z. Schmautz).2021 - ETH Medaille 2021 for the best MSc thesis in agricultural sciences (L. Bochsler).
2021 - “Médaille d’Officier de l’Ordre du Mérite de l’Education Nationale” de la République de Côte d’Ivoire to E. Frossard, for the work done on yam in Côte d’Ivoire.
2019 - "10th CSRS-Fonds Eremitage award for research in partnership” to E. Frossard, together with VK Hgaza, S Ake, and LN Diby (Côte d’Ivoire), DI Kiba (Burkina Faso) and RL Senanayake (Sri Lanka) for the research linking yam crop physiology to the development of crop management practices in farmers’ fields in West Africa.
2019 to present - E Frossard is honorary visiting Professor to the Department of Crop Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.
2017 - Vontobel price for an outstanding PhD in agricultural sciences (S. Cheesman).
2014 - Vontobel price for an outstanding PhD in agricultural sciences (S. Nanzer).
2013 - Swiss Forum for International Agricultural Research (SFIAR) Award for an outstanding MSc in agricultural sciences (C. Andres).
