Research area
My research seeks to sustain the soils’ key function to provide nutritious food and clean drinking water. I focus on the biogeochemical processes that control fluxes of trace metals between soils and plants and how these fluxes alter because of anthropogenic activities. To this end, I conduct experimental research that involves field and growth trials and and use mass balances, stable isotope tools, and speciation techniques to identify processes and quantify fluxes.
